Cellulite is the name given to the lumpy, irregular fat deposits often found around the thighs, bottom, hips and upper arm areas. Research shows that the majority of women (99% of women over thirty) will develop cellulite and it can affect thin as well as overweight women.
There are a number of factors that determine how much cellulite you have which include hormonal changes, family history, genetics, age, pollution and lifestyle including diet, activity levels, smoking, alcohol intake and stress.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Evening Primrose Oil
The Evening Primrose originated in North America, but it came to the UK by accident when cargo ships bringing cotton over dumped the soil ballast and the seeds began to grow. The plant was officially introduced into Europe in 1614 and rapidly became known as “Kings Cure All” because of its useful medicinal properties.
It was not examined closely until 1919 when the Gamma Linoleic Acid present in the oil was reported. Our bodies cannot synthesize this acid, but it prevents the hardening of the arteries, high blood pressure and heart disease, as well as reducing blood cholesterol levels. It also contains unknown anti-coagulent substances.
Evening Primrose is actually a member of the Willow herb family, but the plant acquired the primrose name because its bright yellow flowers resemble those of the primrose and also because they open in the evening. The plant has a two year cycle and it is during the second year that the flowers appear from which the seeds are eventually harvested and pressed to extract the oil.
Evening Primrose Oil is promoted for a wide variety of ailments including weigh loss without dieting, pre-menstrual tension, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
Cod Liver Oil
Cod Liver Oil first became established in the fishing communities of Scotland, Ireland, Norway and Greenland several centuries ago when they used it to protect themselves from the intense cold they were exposed to. In the 1950’s, more research was carried out into the essential fatty acids Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) contained in the Cod Liver Oil. It is this research that has led to the modern view that it is not only of benefit in such conditions as rheumatism, but also has a benefit to the heart and circulatory system.
Blood flow may be aided by the EPA and DHA as they discourage blood platelets from sticking together. Blood pressure can also be reduced and if taken regularly, Cod Liver Oil may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

Research has shown that it also reduces the likelihood of blood clotting, makes the heart less prone to arrhythmias (irregular heart beat) and it reduces the viscosity of blood, thereby facilitating blood flow. Cod Liver Oil is also a good source of Vitamin D which is essential in keeping bones and teeth strong and healthy.
Ginkgo Biloba
An abundance of research has been undertaken on this ancient plant, revealing a wide range of profound and important therapeutic effects. It has an amazing history as the oldest living species of tree and it is actually a living fossil. Fossil records of this tree go back over two hundred million years. It has a remarkable ability to resist extreme temperatures, pollution and insects. However, the Ice Age destroyed the tree in many parts of the world including North America and Europe. It did, however, survive in Asia where in China it is cultivated as a sacred tree.
Ginkgo Biloba has been used for medicinal purposes since the origins of Chinese herbal medicine nearly five thousand years ago. It makes the circulatory system work more efficiently and improves blood flow to the brain and central nervous system — reduced blood flow to the brain leads to a variety of problems including depression, memory loss and disorientation.
Ginkgo Biloba has been widely used in the treatment of vascular and neurological disease and has been recommended for headaches, improving the ability to concentrate, anxiety and circulatory disorders of the skin. Many studies have proved that it also increases the metabolic rate, consequently reducing the formation of fatty deposits.
This ingredient has been used in China for centuries and is the most sold phytomedicine in Europe. It is also one of the most frequently prescribed herbal medicines. It is a powerful antioxidant which helps protect the cells of the brain and central nervous system.
It finally made its return to America when Ginkgo trees were planted near Philadelphia in 1784. Since then it has been subject to more than four hundred public studies and reports, making it the most well researched herbal medicine in the world.
Lecithin
Several decades ago a Medical Doctor by the name of Lester Morrison was looking for
alternatives to man-made cholesterol lowering agents. He published a classic study about
Lecithin which marked the beginning of scientific interest in this remarkable substance.
Lecithin is extracted from soy beans which have tremendous medicinal properties. It is a fat like substance (phospholipid) and is found in varying quantities in body cells and organs. There are especially high concentrations in the brain and around nerve sheaths.
Lecithin is needed by every living cell in the human body and is known to play a role in the
formation and maintenance of good HDL cholesterol levels in the bloodstream. It contains
Choline and Inositol which are essential for the breakdown of fats and helps prevent arterial congestion, increase immunity to viral infections and helps repair damage to the liver. It is especially important to prevent arteriosclerosis, protect against cardiovascular disease and increase brain function. It is also used topically for dry skin.
Lecithin binds chemically with cholesterol thus reducing the amount in the bloodstream. It helps to dissolve the plaques already in the arteries and can also lower blood pressure in some people. It can also be of value to eliminate the yellow plaques on the skin around the eyes caused by fatty deposits.
CELLUSLIM CAPSULES
Kelp (Fucus Vesiculosus)
Kelp is a brown seaweed obtained in Europe mainly from the Atlantic coasts of Norway, Scotland, Ireland and Brittany. The plant consists of a flat, branched thallus or frond with bladder-like vesicles and a lower stalk with a disc-shaped base which attaches to rocks. The part used is the entire thallus, cut from the stalk and dried, usually on belt dryers, as rapidly as possible after harvesting.
Powdered material or dried aqueous extracts are widely used in medicinal preparations. Monographs on Fucus Vesiculosus appear in the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia 1990 (as Bladderwrack) and in the current German Pharmacopoeia (as Tang). For the particular extract used in Sea Herb Tablets the specification of the UK manufacturer is held and approved by the MCA.
Fucus Vesiculosus contains:
• A wide range of trace minerals of which iodine is the most important in a medicinal context
• Polysaccharides of several types including alginic acid and fucans
• Polyphenols composed of phlorglucinol units
• Sterols, mainly as fucosterol
• Polar lipids, mainly as sulphate or phosphate esters of diglycerides
Dried Sweet Clover Extract
Clover is widely distributed throughout Europe including Britain, naturalised in North America and many other parts of the world. The flower heads are gathered between May and September and it is these which are used in herbal medicine.
Clover is a natural antibiotic, blood and lymphatic cleaner. It also helps in healing the lungs and is used as a sedative for whooping cough. It has been shown to have anti cancer activity and has been used in America for over a hundred years to treat and prevent cancer. In Europe it has been used as a diuretic to treat gout.
Because of its high content of several important nutrients including vitamins and minerals, Clover has become a dependable solution to many forms of degenerative diseases. It is also used as an alternative medicine for skin complaints such as eczema and psoriasis. Antibiotic tests on Clover have shown it to possess activity against several bacteria, the most significant of which is the pathogen that causes tuberculosis. Lecithin has been used effectively as a blood purifier, an antibiotic, a relaxant and an appetite suppressant.
In the Middle Ages Clover was considered to be a charm, used to ward off evil spirits and witches.
Grapeskin Extract
Grape Skin Extract is used for treating circulatory conditions including heart attacks and strokes, as well as being a source of essential fatty acids and Vitamin E. It is also used for a variety of other conditions relating to capillary health and permeability.
It is known as a powerful anti-oxidant which is needed to neutralize free radicals which play a major role in the development of degenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases and aging. This capability comes from Proanthocyanidins (Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins) or OPC’s. Scientific
